It was literally the best day we could have ever dreamed of. There were so many things that we thought would go wrong, but none of them did. I guess that’s the benefit of having a low-key, casual wedding that you only invite 30 guests to. It also helps that we have some of the most wonderful, generous, and helpful family members and friends EVER. As you can see everything was relatively simple. My dress was from a local bridal shop, Scott’s clothes were from J. Crew, and the bridesmaids and grooms men basically wore whatever they wanted. Decorations were minimal (I mean, the beach is pretty enough on it’s own, am I right?), the flowers and cakes were from Publix (people seriously underestimate the power of their local grocery stores), for dinner we served chicken and beef fajitas cooked by my mom’s oh-so-helpful boyfriend (with all the fixins… is that a southern word?), we bought several cases of beer and water bottles from Costco, and for music I made a playlist on my laptop that we played over a portable sound system that we borrowed from my church. The whole event was seriously a group effort, and everything came together so well in the end. We had so much fun eating, drinking, dancing, and basically partying the night away. *dreamy sigh* WEDDINGS ARE SO FUN. Can we get married like, every year??
So yeah. There you go. 🙂 We are currently a month in, and so far married life gets an A+, 10/10 stars, would marry again.
